Somalia Watch is an independent organisation established in 2009 to provide up-to-date, accurate and incisive analysis of the major issues and events affecting Somalia. The fighting between the Transitional Federal Government (TFG) and insurgent groups such as al-Shabaab, the growing presence of al-Qaeda in Somalia, piracy, the humanitarian crisis, and the role of of international organisations in all of the above are all within Somalia Watch's focus.
